Barbara Childers

Overview

Joined Wortham in 2008 as Manager of the Personal Lines Department. Currently manage both the Personal Lines and Commercial Lines service teams in day-to-day activities and procedures.

Prior to joining Wortham, spent over 20 years working in the agency sector before working for AAA Texas, developing their Texas insurance products.

In 1999 became AAA Texas' District Sales Manager for San Antonio and Austin.  Promoted to Operations Manager in 2000 and to Vice President of Sales and Service for all of Texas and New Mexico in 2003. 

Education

CIC and CISR designations in 1996 and Certificate in General Insurance in 2004.

Areas of Expertise

Manage both the Personal Lines and Commercial Lines service teams.

Career Highlights / Accomplishments

Developed new products and built a large team of sales and service departments for start up in Texas. Ended with 26 offices and 78 field sales representatives and 100 call center representatives.

Industry and Community Involvement

Lead fundraisers for American Heart Association and March of Dimes.

Active in Crestview Baptist Church.
